The colonscopy makes progress according to a cyclic scheme, by means of gentle grasping
actions: 1) the proximal part is clamped to the colon walls and the body is elongated
2) when the maximum elongation is reached the distal part is clamped 3) the back clamp
is released and the body is retracted. The device is now ready for a new cycle.
